Online Practice Tests

Prepare For The National Registry Cognitive Exam

Thank you for visiting Easy IC. Although we are not the only online practice test site out there, but we believe we have one of the best Computer Adaptive testing systems available. It was designed to meet current EMS Standards and developed by experienced Nationally Certified Paramedics, Paramedic Instructors and Paramedic Course Coordinators - EMS personnel actually in the streets doing the job every day. That makes a big difference!

Questions and scenarios are based on the objectives from the NHTSA Paramedic National Standard Curriculum.

We offer the following Test Options:

Single-Use Account:
$15 Per Test (Pay-as-you-Go)

Multiple-Use Account:
$24 for 3 Tests (A 47% savings over a Single-Use Account)

How it works

The testing software is 'Computer Adaptive' meaning that it adapts itself to your knowledge level by adjusting the line of questioning based on how you answer the questions. Many Paramedic candidates over the years have used these tests and have successfully passed the National Registry Cognitive Exam on the first attempt.

At the conclusion of each Practice Test you will be instantly provided a detailed analysis of your performance outlining the areas in which you excel and those in which you need further study. Concentrating study in your weak areas could dramatically increase your chances of successfully passing the National Registry, or any state or local Paramedic cognitive or written exam, on the first attempt.

DISCLAIMER: These are only practice exams. They are intended only as a knowledge measurement tool, bringing to light topics where further study may be needed. We DO NOT guarantee, in any way, that taking these practice tests will result in a passing score on the National Registry exam or any state or local EMS licensure exam.

More About Computer Adaptive Testing

CAT successively selects questions for the purpose of maximizing the precision of the exam based on what is known about the examinee from previous questions. From the examinee's perspective, the difficulty of the exam seems to tailor itself to their level of ability. For example, if an examinee performs well on a question of intermediate difficulty, they will then be presented with a more difficult question. Or, if they performed poorly, they would be presented with a simpler question. Compared to static multiple choice tests that nearly everyone has experienced, with a fixed set of items administered to all examinees, computer adaptive tests require fewer test questions to arrive at equally accurate scores.
